Skyping was fun! We learned a great deal about
Fire Safety.
Please write at least two paragraphs explaining your skyping experience.
In the first paragraph tell us about your
experience skyping, and in the second paragraph tell us about what you learned about
Fire safety.

I was excited for skyping.It was fun and I had a great time.I saw a lot of teachers come in.I was a bit nerves because I never skyped before.I turned my chair around and my teacher took pictures of us.Then she called us and told us about her dogs.
ReplyDeleteI learned that you need a plan in order to be safe.I learned that dalmations are the traditional fire dogs.There could be other dogs that are fire dogs.You have to touch the door with the back of your pam if there is a fire.Met at your mail box.

ReplyDeleteIt was a great skyping experience.I had a great time.The principal came in during skyping.Her dogs were so cute. They were all dalmations. There were four of them . They all had lot of spots.
ReplyDeleteIn case there was a fire you should always create a plan.If you were locked in a room,you should touch your door with the back of your palm. If your door was hot, jump out the window but if the ground is to far from the window, wave a white cloth standing beside the
window.The fire fighter will come to rescue you. You should always have a plan in case there was an emergency.

ReplyDeleteSkyping was a good experience. I had used this tool earlier for video conferencing with my relatives in India, so it was not a new thing for me. The good thing is that you can see other person when talking. It feels like you are talking in person. It is a good mode of communication. I enjoy skyping every week, with my relatives in India.
I learned a lot of new things about fire safety. It is important to remember these tips as we may need this in future. It is important to stay safe when fire takes place. If fire takes place, we need to safely evacuate the place using either door or window, whichever is safe and closer. We need to pay attention to fire exit gates and follow that to come out safely. We need to plan a meeting place in case of fire takes place. The fire fighters use Dalmatian dogs. These dogs retire in the age of 11-12. Remember, most important thing is to stay safe, in case of fire takes place!!!

Skyping is a good way to get in touch with people far away. I too skype with my parents, friends and brother in India.
Glad you learned all the important facts on staying safe during a fire. Hope you had the conversation with your parents. Good job!
I enjoyed Skyping very much. The Dalmatians were very cute. This was my 2nd time skyping in this school. This year was much more exciting than last time.
ReplyDeleteI learnt many things about fire safety and Dalmatians. Some things I learned are that is is important to always have a plan and meeting spot just in case there is a fire. A good meeting spot would either be your mailbox or your neighbors mailbox. another thing is that all Dalmatians have 1 spot that is special. It's important to have a plan!
I had a great time Skyping. My teacher took some pictures of us Skyping. I took out my technology notebook to write some tips about fire safety. I have used Skype in the past to talk with my grandparents in India.
ReplyDeleteWe should have fire safety plan in case of a fire. If your door is closed touch the door with the back of your palm before opening the door. If the door is hot then wave a white cloth from the window. Try to get out of the house as fast as possible. Wait at your mailbox. Do not go back inside to get anything it is safe to get inside. Firefighters use Dalmatians for good guards.
I was really excited to Skype for the first time in fourth grade. I knew we were going to Skype with the fire fighter. As we were Skyping, somebody from my class asked the fire fighter "how many dogs do you have" and the fire fighter told us that she has four dalmatian and one died, I felt really bad.
ReplyDeleteIn fire safety I learned if there is a fire, you should crawl on the floor and touch the door from the back of your hand to check the level of heat outside. If the knob is hot - Do not exit from there but if it is not hot, you will be able to exit from there. Also if your are trapped inside, you should open the window and wave any white thing from the window so that the fire fighter can see you and come to rescue you.
Overall, Skyping with fire fighters was a great learning experience. Thank you Mrs. Singh.
It was fun skyping it feels like your talking face to face. But some parts you cannot hear what their saying and it’s hard to follow. Over all it was a great experience to connect and learn from someone that was sitting so far away. The audio and video was good but with better internet strength it would be great. I used google facetime with my dad so many times and it’s not that different.
ReplyDeleteFirst thing I learned that you always have to be careful with fire. Secondly if there is a fire in the facility you need to get to the closet exit door but remember to put your hand on the door to see if it is hot. If it is, then don’t go through that door because there might be fire behind the door. If you see smoke get on your knees and crawl while cover your face and nose. Always have a map or exit plan. I liked the dog and he was cute, wish I have one.

I had a lot of fun skyping in class.While we were skyping. The internet connection was pretty good.It was funny how we could here Molly eating that box! We had to wait for like five minutes for the the person we were skyping with to call us because she was just finishing with another class somewhere around the world.It was an awesome experience skyping in the class on the smartboard.
ReplyDeleteHere are some tips about fire safety.The mailbox is the best meeting place in an event of fire.Always have an escape map in case main entrance is not in reach.If the fire happens while you are in your room,touch the door with the back of your palm and if its hot then go through the window and if your room is on the second story then wave something white out of the window.While moving crawl on your hands and knees to avoid smoke.These were some tips for fire safety.

I felt excited because I really wanted to see the dalmatians.On the other hand I was nervous because I knew I would have a lot of questions and I am very shy.Now since I have actually experienced it,I feel a lot more confident and relaxed.I will really be looking forward for the next Skype time.I was looking forward to Skype with India and Africa,but maybe not.
ReplyDeleteDuring this fun activity ,I learnt that not only can dalmatians be fire dogs other dogs can be too!Another couple of things I learnt was that some dogs tell you when they want to retire,some dogs have no spots at all on there faces,a couple of dalmatians spots join together to make different shapes mostly hearts,some dalmatians have big blacks patches on their fur,you should wave a white towel if you are trapped in a fire and that you should check your smoke alarms,once each month.
I had a great time skyping. I learnt a lot about fire safety and Dalmatians. It was an excellent experience. I learnt a lot of thing s these are somethings that I learnt.
ReplyDeleteThere are different spots on each Dalmatian. Dalmatians have a calming scent. Dalmatians help Skype. Molly has been to 21 states. Have a smoke alarm and check it once a month. Dalmatians have spots on their paws and mouth. You should know two ways how to escape a fire. Have a meeting place and a plan always. Get out and stay out!
I had fun skyping! Teachers were coming in and out my heart was pounding. I was nervous,but I had lot's of fun.I learned a whole lot about fire safety!
ReplyDeleteI learned that you should always have a meeting place and a plan.In case there is a real fire you should feel the door knob if it is cold you should get low and crawl out of the house,and to the meeting place.You should leave everything behind that includes pets.That is the way you stay safe!!

DeleteEven though it wasn't my first time skyping it was pretty fun. I felt relaxed and nervous at the same time.I feel more comfortable when I could see the other persons face.At the end it wasn't that bad.
ReplyDeleteI've never experienced fire but if I do experience a fire know what to do. I learned that we should always have a special meeting place and a plan.I all so learned that you should not go back for anything.Not even pets!And I also learned if you are in your room in a fire first crawl to the door and feel it with the back of your hand. If it's cold you can go,but if it's hot you can't go.Just use the window. If it's to high wave a white cloth.

ReplyDeleteI think it was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was a little shy at first,but I remembered that I LOVE Skyping. My favorite part of Skyping was when Molly teared the cardboard box into pieces.
I learned that if you're stuck in a room and you have a window take something white ,like a shirt ,and wave it at the window and if you don't have a window and you have a plan do what your plan says and if you don't have a plan.....GET A PLAN ....NOW! I also learned don't go back for anything,not even your phone.
I had a fun time skyping. It was better than skyping with my dad and my brother. The part where the dog was eating the box was very funny. It is better to skype world wide than with your family.Skyping at school is more educational and you could acually see the person talking while skyping

Have a meeting place planned so that you will be more safe when there is a fire.Always follow your family and do not go by yourself.If you are in a room and the door knob is too hot, do not go through the door, instead open the window and say help and wave with a white or red shirt. In conclusion, be smart and be safe when an unexpected fire comes.

I had fun skyping,my favorite part about skyping was when Molly was eating the box.It was a good experience skyping with another state in school.It was a neat experiment that I have done through Livingstone Park School.
ReplyDeleteA few things that I have learned when we were skyping was you should always check the door if it is hot. If it is hot you should go out the window.if the window is on fire or high above the ground hold up a white or red towel and they will no your in dangour. You should always have a plane for a fire. You never no when it will happen.
Skyping was fun. Molly was very funny. My favorite part is when she ripped and teared the box. I felt nervous and happy at the same time. I have skyped with friends, but not much as this. It has not been my first time skyping, but it has been first time with a lot of expierence.
ReplyDeleteAs the fire safety was going on, I have learned about lots of stuff.
If their is ever a fire GO LOW. Their is less smoke and cooler than the top. Do not take any valuables with you. If there is ever a fire and you try to get out but you can't, try to wave something near the window. Or else if the window is not hot and is low enough to get of for you, GET OUT! Make a meting plan for family. Make sure you test each fire alarm once a month. If you want to know the door is hot, test with the back of your hand. Be always aware if there is ever a fire!

Skyping was very fun even though I was 4 minutes late for instramentel.Did you know your mailbox is your outside meeting place.Also a dalmation is a fire safety dog.All dalmations don't have the same spots.In the past dalmations were used as dog carriges.

I had lots of fun doing skyping.It was funny when Molly was tearing a box.I also learnt lots of tips.One of the tips where you should have a plan just in case a fire comes in the house.

When I sat down in my seat Miss.Singh told us that we were skyping with a fire safty compony . She turned on the smart board and she called her,there she was she was with a dog named molly.
ReplyDeleteShe talked about how you get out of your house if you had a fire in your house and she talked about how many dogs she had and what was original about them.
On Friday September 27,2013 we skyped with Diane and Molly to learn about fire safety. We learned that Dalmation's climb into mailboxes when their is a fire. And Diane showed us a video how a Dalmation reacted to a fire.I learned how old Molly is and she is 7 months.And I also learned about Molly's sibblings !
